The luuuuuuuuvboat....

Even though Valentine's is past, I was out of town, celebrating familial love and grief so on and so on...the agapic parallel to the Valentine's Day kind of love.
So here's my juicy slab of bacon for the week. I just say, everyone needs to quit being pansies. This is the shortest month of the year, and with president's day, black history, and 7 family birthdays to celebrate, I can't allot much room for Valentine's Day. I mean, just like many holidays, I'm sure it was started for a good reason but has become eventually exploited and deformed by candy and greeting card corporations. Like so many holidays, it has lost its original flair.
Not that I care. I mean, thinking about it, I love getting valentines from people. It's like, the past couple years I've gotten a little paper valentine with scooby or the powerpuff girls from someone I know. And I'm reminded of elementary school, when every year I'd buy a box of GI Joe or Transformers Valentines to pass out to the whole class. And you know, that was a really good time, cause you got a list to take home of everyone in the class, and every kid got a little valentine and sometimes candy from every other kid. It was real cool. And in 2nd grade I got a valentine from my girlfriend, who was in another class. And then we made out and junk. Booyeah.
You know, that was pretty cute.
But darn, I mean Mikey's right. Can't you lovers appreciate eachother any other time? Don't you have enough special days? And if you don't, you can always celebrate an anniversary every month. I once heard that girls really love it when guys buy them flowers at random times. So guys, there's more than one way to switch up your rhythm and drive them crazy. So, you know...boycott Valentine's Day and find odd days throughout the year to shower your girl with affection.
I mean it.
And nice guys that have no girl, imagine yourself living with three other nice guys that don't either. And if you've got it worse than that, I pity you.
