Mark's thumbs up and thumbs down post inspired me to give some peeves and perks to my life, just to get them in the clear, for brief, for real.
Dislikes- milk without ice, obnoxious girls, dumb girls, sarcasm without wit, cell phone headsets, soccer moms, joke thieves, nu metal, American thrash metal, bands that sound like Cake.
Likes- gum drops, smart girls, crazy cool girls, carrying boxes up stairs, nordic sagas, hardcore covers of pop songs, most Nordic metal, most Nordic anything, knowledge of pressure points, bands that are for the children.
So see? I've kind of laid down all the crucial info.
Now a bit of praise for the wonderful day I had at move-in on UNCG campus. It was the wild social event of the season. It was hilarious watching the group of frat guys all be helping the one clueless freshman girl. Like some kind of rainforest dwelling birds' mating ritual.
But seriously folks, we got to get buff, get sweaty, and Daystar handed out lots and lots of water to some very thankful people. I feel that God really placed the proverbial pimpslap on Greensboro and showed us all He was still here, taking care of business as always. It's good to know that.
So, I'm kind of wishing I had some cool people to hang out with, but until people figure out a central convening point, I'm really not interested in going to Bent Tree or Mallard Lake or any of these places. As interesting as apartments are, really everyones' probably look about the same. So I'd say just figure out a place where people will be hanging out the majority of the time, that way when I drive into Greensboro I don't have to figure out the dilly. You know, one apartment to visit is enough. Just finding these places is nuts.
But yes, there's an A-list of cool people I haven't seen lately and I do certainly want to see them, Danny'n'jess, Mikey, Mark, Christina, and many more of course. I have my on campus people, faithful to the cause of dorm life, and that's good, because at least I know that they're a phone call and a walk outside away when I come randomly to the fountain with my rabbit.
So, until we all meet again and I make more sense...adieu.
